Oh boy, I am sure you have all been watching the news. Fires around the town are almost double what they were this time last year. Residential and businesses are seeing an uptick in fire damage. We are finding this is because many are at home and trying new cooking ideas. The past few months we have been called out to help clean up on deep fired Oreos, deep fried churros and a slew of other grease fire issues. Many reach to water in a grease fire and that is a big ‘NO, NO’.  

Here is what to do.

-Cover the flames with a metal object

-Turn off the heat source

- If small, pour baking or salt on it.

-Spray with fire extinguisher
